happy mother's day, Chowderhead

my John happened to
be in the backyard
working on his guitar
with his camera
so, he snapped a few pictures
of this skittish lil stray
on the side of our house
we call her Chowderhead
from "The Three Stooges"
she has two kittens
they live in an abandoned dog house
across the street
the house is up for sale
not occupied at this time
one kitten is dark gray
the other is black and white
they are so cute
playing together
we put peanuts
in the hanging basket
for our squirrels

Awww amen to happy mother's day to Chowderhead. Cute idea for the squirrels. I had so many when I lived in San Antonio because I had pecan trees. They were a ball to watch teasing my dog.

Chowderhead is cute! how sad that she seems to be a homeless single mother though

I think the daily trips to the food bowl is beginning to soften her up. I think she will trust us more and more everyday when she realizes that there is no harm in store for her - just good intentions.
